Home Away From Home

My boyfriend and I just returned from our one-week stay at Lighthouse Beach Villas and we had the most incredible time and stay. The service was by far the best service I have ever encountered on vacation. Glori and Rob made us feel comfortable, gave the best recommendations for places in San Pedro, and made our time the most memorable. Glori organized massages on our balcony (AMAZING!) and two snorkel trips that I consider a once and I lifetime experience. Our villa was gorgeous and clean, but Rob's Beach Bar was undoubtedly one of the highlights of our trip. I am not exaggerating when I say every drink continued to get more creative and delicious. Rob was INCREDIBLE!! Lighthouse Beach Villas was safe, had wonderful other guests, and had views that looked like a screensaver. I cannot wait to come back!

Incredible Hospitality

My family and I just returned from our week stay at Lighthouse Beach Villas. Our villa was clean, spacious, exceptionally well appointed, and comfortable for all of us (four including my two sons in their early 20's). The Villas are situated on the southern side of the island within a short golf cart ride of restaurants, downtown San Pedro, and dive/fishing outfitters. Our excursions, including SCUBA diving, snorkeling, and fishing were all arranged by Glory and Diana who made every effort to provide exactly what we were looking for. They made our trip so much simpler by attending to these arrangements for us. They were also always at the ready with towels, sunscreen, and bug spray whenever we needed them.The swim up bar was refreshing each day after our excursions and Rob, the bartender and 'host extraordinaire', was ready to concoct whatever our palates desired. Not only is Rob a creative and talented mixologist but he also happily prepared dinner for us on two occasions with the catch of the day. His culinary skills are at least on par with his bar tending skills! This extra bit of hospitality and effort is really what sets Lighthouse Beach Villas apart from anything else I've ever experienced in my travels. If you do travel to Ambergris Caye, I can confidently say that you will want for nothing in this beautiful gem of Belize.

A Beacon of Light

We had a rough start to our stay in Belize, and stumbled upon Lighthouse Villas when we decided to change our plans, from staying in Caye Caulker to San Pedro instead. From the moment we arrived, we knew we made the right choice! Although we arrived 2 hours early, we were immediately welcomed to check into our beautiful Villa, perfectly suited to our needs! During our stay, we wanted for nothing, as the entire staff was available to assist us with whatever we needed. As an early riser, I really appreciated having coffee ready and waiting for me each morning so I could enjoy it out on my patio. Glori as concierge was friendly and helpful, and Rob at the Bar immediately felt like a life-long friend! He was quick to welcome us with a cold beverage, order us food, and share his recommendations for best things to do during our stay! When I had a day of feeling under the weather, he was quick to offer ginger ale from his personal stash, and his Ginger juice that had me feeling better in no time! On our last day, we had to leave to catch the water taxi earlier than expected, and didn’t get to say good-bye to Rob, but I hope he knows how much we appreciated all that he did to make our stay more enjoyable! We are already planning our next trip, and will be sure to stay here again! A local driver, Carlos, was recommended by Rob, and was available for all of our transportation needs, whether it was a quick trip into town, or a 6 am water taxi to the mainland for our excursion! He always got us where we needed to go on time!

Hidden Gem

We just got back from the Lighthouse Beach Resort, and we miss this hidden gem already. We had some friends recommend it to us, so we had a high bar going in, but Rob and Glori over-delivered on our expectations. We originally planned on visiting earlier in the month, but we had to make some adjustments to our plans. Glori was extremely helpful in adjusting our accommodations and helped us with some logistics to make our travel easy. Once we arrived, we were greated by Rob and his welcome drinks. He was always willing to craft another cocktail for us, give us recommendations on things to do, and help our family with fishing off the pier. We spent the week engaging in various activities in San Pedro, but it was always a welcome return "home" to our hidden gem. If we weren't outside, we relaxed in our beautiful condo and really got away from it all. We look forward to returning next year!

Instantly fell in love! Also I got married here🙋🏻‍♀️

My husband and I wanted to get married in Belize and we didn’t know where exactly. Our coordinator Melody recommended Lighthouse Beach and we instantly loved it. We arrived and the views were incredible. Every villa has a view and both sizes are enormous, well equipped, and beautiful. Large patios to relax on when you want time away from the pool area. Pool is perfect size for smaller groups to feel more private and relaxed. Rob is an awesome bartender and even better person. I could say the exact thing for everyone I met and visited with, especially Glori, Andrés, Derek, Diana, and all the staff at Lighthouse Beach. It was cute, relaxing, clean, and so much fun. Andrés who works security talked with me about how they do a neighborhood watch. You feel very safe staying there. I enjoyed our morning talks when i was pouring my life saving coffees. We saw a water spout funnel cloud one morning! Glori ensures you are relaxed and taken care of the second you step foot on the property. She effortlessly takes care of your vacation needs and she’ll help you schedule tours and other activities while on your vacation. The owner was sweet as well and I was so thankful I ran into her on my way out on my last day so I could compliment her staff and my overall experience in person. I truly can’t wait to come back!

WOW!

After a week on the mainland we arrived in San Pedro. Greeted by Glori, who was ready for us and quickly took us to our room. Breathtaking views. We were in room 8 which was twice the size of my first apartment and 10x nicer. Fully equipped to s an understatement! The staff was phenomenal. “Rob” a time the pool bar was a wealth of local knowledge from dining to nightlife to whatever establishment had what you needed, enough cannot be said about him. Glori was so sweet and attentive, made last minute arrangement for a full day snorkeling trip for us. It was a PRIVATE tour that included all the best spots to snorkel with incredible guides who even prepared us lunch on the beach and fresh conch ceviche that they dove for. Glori set us up for an adventure we will never forget. We WILL be back!

Outstanding Experience at Lighthouse Beach

Our family of 4 just completed our 9 days at Lighthouse Beach, our first trip to Belize. The accommodations here exceeded our expectations. The villa was spacious, clean, and had an awesome view of the water. The grounds are very well maintained, very safe, and just really nice. Gloria happily took care of our every request and Rob was always entertaining mixing our daily dose of Rum Punch. The entire staff was super friendly and professional.I hope we get the opportunity to return (soon), we thoroughly enjoyed this vacation.

Fantastic!

We loved our stay at Athens gate Lighthouse Beach! The staff are amazing, the 3 bedroom two bath villa was so clean and beautifully furnished, including so much local art. Staff set up all our excursions including our flights from Belize City. We loved the location away from the bustle. This will be my first choice shoild I ever get to go back again! Did I mention how wonderful the staff were ❤️❤️❤️🙏

Best resort on the island

We arrived at Athens Gate and immediately were welcomed by Ileny, Rob, and Jose. What an amazing group of people! Our villa was clean, up-to-date, and most importantly, comfortable. The views are amazing, the pool is clean and open 24/7, and the drinks never stop flowing! We loved the amount of privacy we had on our porch, and the attention to detail w/ all of the wonderful art work in our villa. Ileny booked all of our excursions for us, and was there to answer all of our questions. Rob gave excellent suggestions on restaurants, and even ordered take out for us several times. Jose was there all night which provided a sense of security and safety. I love that it’s a small, 12 unit resort. There were never crowds, and no wait at the bar. The private pier was so relaxing to enjoy a cup of coffee on and watch the sun rise. 10/10 recommend staying here. Best resort on the island!! We will definitely be returning!!

Best stay I’ve ever had

This was the most amazing place I’ve ever stayed, the rooms were spacious, very clean, had everything you need to make you feel like you’re at home. But the best part about the whole stay would have to be the people that work at this place. First off I want to start off with Lleny, she was amazing start to finish. Helped us with any questions, took her time to make sure anything we needed was addressed, and pointed us to some of the most amazing local cuisine. Second and the most amazing person I met the entire trip was my man Rob. Rob went above and beyond to make sure every want we had was taken care of. His drinks were absolute top notch and his service was second to none. This was our first time in Belize and we will absolutely be back and staying at this place again. Rob even cooked some fish we caught on the last day and made us a fresh ceviche which was also phenomenal! This place is the best all around, period. Thank you Athens gate team for an amazing stay, we will see you again!!
